With the heavenly blessings of Reverend Sant Baba Malkit Singh ji and Sant Baba Dlawar Singh ji (Brahm Ji) and benign endorsement of Honorable Chancellor, Sant Baba Manmohan Singh ji, and under the guidance of worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr) Dharmjit Singh Parmar, Dean Academics Prof. (Dr.) Vijay Dhir, Registrar Prof. (Dr.) Aneet Kumar, and Dean of UIET and UICAIS Prof. (Dr.) Jagdeep Kaur, INNO-Quest 1.0 was conducted in collaboration with the University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET) and University Institute of Computer Applications and Information Sciences (UICAIS), symbolizing a harmonious synergy across disciplines.
The Hackathon, held on the auspicious day of April 29, 2024, unfolded amidst an atmosphere charged with anticipation and enthusiasm. Dean of UIET, Prof. Dr. Jagdeep Kaur, graced the occasion with a convivial welcome speech, underscoring the profound significance of such events in nurturing the creative prowess and problem-solving acumen of the participating students. With a clarion call to embrace innovation and leverage cutting-edge technologies, participants were galvanized to actively engage and showcase their ingenuity. Priyanka, a sixth-semester student pursuing a Bachelor's in Computer Science and Engineering, hosted the whole IINO Quest 1.0. event.
Spanning an intellectually stimulating duration of eight hours, the Hackathon served as a crucible for participants to showcase their mettle, ingenuity, and technological prowess. Amidst an atmosphere crackling with creativity and innovation, teams vied fiercely, each endeavoring to carve their niche in the annals of technological innovation. Upon the culmination of the arduous competition, the adjudicators, led by the erudite Dr. Navdeep Kaur, meticulously deliberated and proclaimed the triumphant teams.
Evaluation criteria followed by jury members included novelty of the idea, complexity, clarity and details in the prescribed format, feasibility, practicability, sustainability, scale of impact, user experience and potential for future work progression. After thorough evaluation of proposed ideas to various problem statements, 09 teams with total of 29 students participated in this event.Out of which 5 teams were shortlisted.
Emerging as the epitome of excellence, Team MasterMinds, comprising HarmanJot Singh, Shivani, Karan Singh, and Kartik, clinched the coveted first position. Their innovative solutions and cohesive teamwork set a benchmark for future aspirants. The second position was secured by Team-The Innovators, consisting of Shubham Bhogal, Nikhil Kumar, Makdeep Kaur, and Kiranjit Kaur. Their exemplary collaborative efforts and innovative solutions showcased their potential to drive technological advancements. Rounding off the podium, Team-The Hood, represented by Sumansh Rana and Aniket, secured the third position. Their tenacity and innovative spirit earned them well-deserved accolades.
The resounding success of INNO-Quest 1.0 is a testament to the indefatigable efforts of the organizing committee, led by Dr. Navdeep Kaur, whose meticulous planning and execution ensured a seamless and memorable event. Additionally, heartfelt appreciation is extended to all the student coordinators whose unwavering dedication and tireless efforts were instrumental in orchestrating this grand affair.
Indeed, INNO-Quest 1.0 stands as a shining beacon of SBBS University's commitment to fostering innovation, collaboration, and excellence among its students, paving the way for a future imbued with technological advancements and transformative solutions.
